Rules

1. GENERATION OF REFERRALS/LEADS TO INCREASE YOUR BUSINESS. Usually, referrals through networking are normally of a higher quality then most referrals. Some even come pre-qualified for you. The member takes these referrals, follows up on them, and turns them into new clients. Networking has proven to be very cost effective and provides its members higher quality leads than any other form of marketing. The increase of business from networking is the major benefit, but there are others.

2. OPPORTUNITIES. Potential joint ventures, client leads, partnerships, speaking and writing opportunities, business or asset sales, etc. are just some of them that can come from a motivated group of business owners.

3. CONNECTIONS. “IT’S NOT WHAT YOU KNOW, BUT WHO YOU KNOW”. This has never been more true than in business. If you want a truly successful business then you need to have a great source of relevant connections in your network. Networking provides you with a great source of connections, and allows doors to open to be able to talk to highly influential people that you wouldn’t normally be able to easily talk to or find. It provides, not only the member that you are connecting with, but their network of connections that you may be able to tap into, as well.

4. ADVICE. Having like-minded business owners to talk to provides you the opportunity to ask them all sorts of things that relate to your business or even your personal life and obtaining that important work-life balance. Networking is a great way to tap into advice and expertise that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to get hold of.

5. EXPOSURE. Being visible and being noticed is a huge benefit of networking. This is why attendance each meeting is so important. This will help get your face and your business known throughout your community. This helps build your reputation for being a knowledgeable, reliable, and supportive business owner by offering useful information to people who need it. This will also lead into more referrals.

6. POSITIVE INFLUENCE. The people that you choose to associate with and talk to do influence who you are and what you do. That is why it is important to surround yourself with positive, uplifting people that want you to grow and thrive as a business owner. Networking provides the opportunity to be around such people.

7. INCREASED CONFIDENCE. By regularly networking and pushing yourself to talk to people you don’t know will help to increase your confidence as a business person, and, in turn, increase your business. Learning to make conversations and lasting connections is an added benefit.

8. SATISFACTION FROM HELPING OTHERS. Networking is a great way to help others. Networking is full of business owners with some issues that need solving. Fantastic results come from helping others to resolve their dilemmas or situations they may need help with.

9. FRIENDSHIPS. Although a more personal development than a business development, it is a big benefit to networking. New friendships form from networking that can last a life time.
